How does front-end user set "Preview" button?

We created a User Upload menu item in the User Menu for our client, and they are happily uploading documents directly themselves. However, they noticed that the documents that we posted for them include a "Preview" button, and they are asking how they can do that, too, when they upload a file. The only place I'm aware of is in the back-end, in editing a file, using the File > Preview field. Is there a way for front-end users to do this too? Thanks.

Hi, since Phoca Download 3 there is a feature which can be set in Options that when user upload a file and such file i playable or previewable, such then will be copied for preview or play.
