shortcode in a custom html module??

am I doing something wrong. I'm using Joomla 2.5 and I am in a custom module. there's the phoca download button which puts the shortcode in there, but the phoca download result doesn't show up on the page. any thoughts?

Hi, Phoca Download plugin is a content plugin - can be used in content (article) or in parts which accept content plugins:

so that doesn't include the standard custom html module even though the button shows up there, correct.

Yes, but there are some ways how to run content plugins in module positions - try to see extensions.joomla.org for possible extensions providing such feature.
