KML files with Jooma 1.5.15 and Phoca Maps 1.1.2

I tried (2 years ago) to add a map with a KML file and it didn't work. The plugin was quite new, I thought it had a problem, and I gave up, but I need now to make it working. My main question is: "Is it supposed to work?"
I spent again many hours on this, and don't have any success.
For my tests, I am using the "polygon-simple.kml" that is focused onto Adelaïde (I thought that my KML that are properly displaid on GoogleMap could have some problems).
I believe that I followed the (quite simple) procedure described in the manual:
1. Created a map where I specified the kml file (not a full pathname, but just "polygon-simple.kml") that has been copied into "public_html/phocamapskml/".
2. I also created a menu item (type = map) and I enabled the settings "Enable KML File Loading" and "Display Print Route".
I tried with many different KML files, but they all failed. Here is a link to my current test route-estivale.fr/index.php?option=com_phocamaps&view=map&id=2&Itemid=100.
I am confused because I still see the comment: "Not yet supported in "Internet Explorer browsers", but I am using Firefox.
Again, my question is: "Is it supposed to work?" If yes, I will continue to investigate (even I don't know what to check further...).
Thanks for any answer/suggestion.
Francis
