[SOLVED]Phoca VM Category Module: subcateg. >7 not displayed

Post by lliseil »

Hi Jan and Phoca VirtueMart Category Module users
I like very much your module, for its über-simplicity and allowing to display virtuemarts category in "mega style" without taking much space :)

Now I have just one small bizarre result on a ecommerce website powered with Joomla 2.5.11, VM 2.0.20 and Phoca VirtueMart Category Module 1.01. Must be my mistake; at least no related post in the first 2 pages here.
Here is the issue:

Phoca VirtueMart Category Module works awsome, but for one (root) category, where subcategories over n. 7 are not displayed:
- these are displayed in VM and in category module (left menu), like the others
- also, unpublishing one of the seven subcategories that are displayed in Phoca VirtueMart Category Module --> next one appears: 7 in total. Same if moving e.g. the eight subcategory to 7 then it shows up --but not the eight one

You can see the result very easily on the test website, located at: beta2 (dot) guixmodel (dot) net

Hi, the tree is loaded by VM methods, so I think, there should be no limit except the parameters, but maybe there is a design issue limit, maybe the category does not fit to the place, so it is not displayed

Did you try to set some higher number in Options of this module - for parent categories

Hi, and thank you Jan

Your answer made me check out the code of the module. Diggo! Your module came with specific template from TemplateMonster, and despite having the exact same version number and so on, had been hacked by the templater.

Installed the official version from here, and the issue was gone! Then I just had to play with the CSS to make it fit into the design.

Again thank you
