Phoca Map 3.0.0 Beta Component Error

I have installed a fresh Joomla 3.1.4
Using the default protostar template.
When I install the Phoca Maps component I get the error: "An error has occured: 500 Layout default not found." I can click to "Return to Panel" or select Components from the menu, and I can see that it installed. When I try to select any of the available items: Control Panel, Maps, Markers, Icons, Info I immediately get the error: "An error has occured: 500 Layout default not found." The plugin installs just fine, but cannot get past the problem with the component. I have tried to install the component on three different systems/domains and I get the same error. Is the Beta broken? Anyone else getting the same thing?

The issue is known and exists since the the last joomla update. Wait a little bit till a fix is available.

Addeed hotfix by Jean-Marie Simonet, this can be installed in 3.1.4 and should fix this problem:

Hey there,
I want to use phoca maps 3.0 on my joomla 3.15 and after reading this post, I did install the legacy.zip, but it still doesn't let me create a map or anything. The Error I get when I want to use any function says:
