Examples of layout settings?

Hi there

I have downloaded Phoca downloads over the weekend and am very impressed. I nearly have it set up perfectly. The last thing I am struggling with is layouts. I've turned on the Display Specific Layout option and have been experimenting with the layout using the parameters in the Layout section but can't seem to get a "good" layout. Are there any examples of settings that people have used, that I could try out?

The kinds of layouts I have been trying to get are:

a) How do you list categories, one after the other in a column down the page, rather than a list across the page?
b) How can you make the component fill right along the website? At the moment, mine finishes half way along the page.
c) One of my titles of a category is 'Python 3 programs'. This gets displayed as:

Python
3
programs

rather than 'Python 3 programs' on one line in Categories view.

With a few examples to study, I am sure I can work out where I'm going wrong.

Hi, I think, the the best way is to look at the output codes and customize the view directly in html

e.g. components/com_phocadownload/view/categories/tmpl/ ...php or
components/com_phocadownload/view/category/tmpl/ ...php

etc.
