I have a problem after a photo upload. The upload went wrong. there were no thumbs created, I removed the photos and now get this fatal error I can see the section catagories but cannot see the gallery section anymore. Please tell me this is fixable as I have thousands of photos

I am one step further, the photos have been reinstalled and the fatal error is gone, however there appears a blanc page when I want to look at the gallery, and I do not think thumbs have been made. what to do next?

Please let me know your website, see your system info in administration area (Help --> System Information --> Information about PHP --> GD info), if you have a GD support..., see if you have a permission to write data on your disc... See if you have a thumbs folder in image/phocagallery folder. See if there are some images in thumbs folder if it exists...

Jan, Last problem was solved. Turned out pictures were too big. after resizing the pictures, problem gone. However I just today added a new catagory and the same thing happened. this is the fault:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2855147 bytes) in /customers/naga-cebu.com/naga-cebu.com/httpd.www/libraries/joomla/error/error.php on line 78

I have checked all the above you mentioned and all is alright. there are thumbs in the thumbs directory
what to do now.

PS: I can still see my photobooks on the website, In the admin part I can see all the catagories including the new one made only thing I cannot see is my gallery in the admin

Got the answer from a joomla site: make up a php.ini file and put in it this one line:

register_globals = off

this solved the problem at once

i have the same problem

i upload 15 images 1024 x 768 and create a categorie

after, i go to create a gallery and select all files... the thumbs are show

but when i click on save, it show

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2560 bytes) in /home/a1910878/public_html/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/helpers/phocagal lery.php on line 386

how to fix this????

?, I don't know, yuo must do changes on your server:

- maybe memory limit (php)

I think this error is not in my server, but in the file phocagallery.php that is a part of phoca gallery component

but i dont understanding php languages and i dont know how to fix (change) the file phocagallery.php
