Files Downloaded are usually incomplete or stuck

Hi

Most of my files are 30-50MB and almost all the time it stopped halfway. (using direct link) The server is hosted in USA and most of our clients from Asia are experiencing this problem. The hosting provider (based in USA) tested the download and it seems ok but not users from Asia.

Using Flashget or Orbit, the download always stop at 99.9% rendering the file incomplete.

1) Will setting the php set_time_limit to 0 at runtime helps? will it work? Is there anywhere in Phoca files I can add this code to change it at runtime?
2) The server max execution time is now set to 60 only, is this the cause? change this to how many?
3) Will the server bandwidth cause this? my provider is Hostgator and they say all their bandwidth is unlimited.

Before I go into trying CDN (through cloudflare and all) and I know Phoca Download don't control this, but can someone point me to the right direction to fix and test this?

Hi, Phoca Download does not make any limits except they are in Options. If you set high limits there and it does not work for your, then seems like on the server there is some limit which needs to be changed - server settings of course override any php script (Joomla!, Phoca Download, PHP) settings. Phoca Download only gives information from user to server and back from server to user's browser - then the communication runs between server and user's browser, if there are some limits then on user's side or server's side

1) this should be a question on your webhosting provider, I think
2) I think not, but this is the same like 1)
3) the same like 1)

Yes, this is really hard to give you some advice as I am really not server expert and I don't know settings of server in such case :-( :-(
