Hello I use joomla 3.0 and a Phoca Download 3.0.4.
The hits is not updated when a user downloads a file, and the statitiscs always are 0 downloads...
Can someone help me??

I found the problem: the file are a link to external web for downloads instead of a real file.

Unfortunately not. As far as I know, Phoca Download Stats can only count hits on files stored inside your Joomla! installation.

Hi, in fact there are three possible types:

:: internal links - hits are counted
:: external links - not direct links - hits are counted
:: external links - direct links - hits are not counted - it is impossible if you click on some external link to store statistics about this download as the link goes to external link, so the statistics needs to be done there.

Just see the Options to set the parameter to fit your needs.

direct link: yes
external link: http://... (url to page of files)

When I choose "NO" in direct link and I press the button Download, appers "Error to download file (Type Mime not found)
What is the problem??

Hi, set the file name include extension into filename row (even you have set the external link) - in file edit.

And then check if the extension of the filename is included in allowed extensions - in Phoca Download Options.

Sorry but I don't understand you.
I need to count when I press a download button but doesn't do it.
In options->Download I have this:
-Direct link: yes
-External link: a link to a page(it contains more links).
If I change direct link to NO, appears an error(Error to download a file(Type Mime not found))

I wish, when I press download button it count a download.

How can I do this??

I found the problem! Only there are add the extencions file to name file, I understand now!
