Hi Jan,

I have a strange problem.

I have a site with a public download for a public file in also a public categorie, but when I click to the download-link, an empty page appears.
What's going on?????

Hi, the link goes to file view, but there can be a problem with SEF link

- try to run it without SEF enabled - to detect if this is the problem
- make a hidden menu link to Phoca Download, so the plugin on your site gets SEF link - https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... -in-joomla

Hi Jan,

yes, it should be the SEF Option.

After disableing the SEO-Option in the site-configuration, the download-page behind the Link is shown.
But I dont want to run my site without the SEO-feature.

Hi, the link on that site is still not SEF link, the plugin link still didn't find the menu link to component.

Does the menu link to component exists - for test, you can create standard menu link to Phoca Download. When you do it, please let me know the link.

now I have got it to work !

But for me it is not logical. Why do I have to make that workaround for "public" users only?

In registrated mode all works without that.

Hi, there are users who don't want to display the menu link - there is no problem to display the link but the goal with hidden menu group is to not display the menu link (in case you don't want to)

How to make that guests could download files?

Hi, not sure what you exactly means, but guests can download files as default in Phoca Download.

Guests can download the file only after authorization. How to correct it?
