Import from site J2.5 / import into J3

I ask for confirmation (it may be that the situation has changed recently) that there is no possibility to backend of joomla to export / import categories and files of phocadownload (I know you can do phpadmin, but do not know the procedure).
I have to export from site to joomla 2.5 and import it into a joomla website 3.

Right! Wait a little bit. Joomla! v2.5.x will be supported until 31/12/2014, so there is no real time pressure.

It is very simple to make it. You put a component on joomla 3.x. Then you go to php admin and with joomla 2.5 you do export of tables * to _phocadownload * on a desktop. Then transfer to a database of new joomla and make import from a desktop. If both tables had different prefixes then change a prefix at the imported tables. That's all! If the help is necessary address.
