When I try to add photos using multiple add I receive the "Error 500 - Internal server error." Galleries will still work on the front end but the back end will not work. In order for me to start using the backend I have to reinstall the component. I am using the following:
PHP Version: 4.4.7
Web Server: Apache/1.3.33 (Unix)
Web Server to PHP interface: cgi
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.5.0 Production/Stable [ Khepri ] 21-January-2008 23:55 GMT

I noticed that it would give me this error when I tried to add a picture that was around 560k. After I reinstalled Phoca and resized the picture down to 275k than it would not give me this error. Is there sometype of size restriction that would cause this problem?

No on Phoca Gallery, the restriction must be on your server

??? If you have problems with limitation of memory in your server, the reinstallation of Phoca Gallery doesn't help...

Try to see the last parameters:

Maybe it will help... ???

Hmmm... It seems that I've found something strange.
Well, first of all, I didn't solve the issue using the last parameter because I couldn't access the gallery page (because of the Internal error 500).
When I tried to delete my file using the media manager, I had an error message (don't remember exactly but it deals with forbidden character... I don't which one!) I've renamed the files (with an FTP client, it was impossible with Joomla's media manager) removing the space character (changed to _ ) and I've gone back to phocagallery and it works!
If you delete the file, it works also. Phocgallery does not find the file on the server and does not try to display the thumbnail.
So no more re-installation needed.

Nevertheless, even with the last parameters activated, it does not help, so I have to handle with the limitation of the server, and I have absolutly no idea on how to change this parameter and if I can.

So try to remove all

So try to remove all images and folders in images/phocagallery/ folder... Uninstall and install Phoca Gallery and don't add images they contain spaces and diacritics...

I tried but the issue on adding images larger than -around- 500kb is still there.
By the way, I don't have any issue in adding several images which total size is larger than 500kb.
That's only for a single image...

Yes but the limit is on your server, so Phoca Gallery cannot too.
