How to restrict type of files and upload directory

Hi

• I would like to allow registered users to only load some type of files, namely xls and xlsx worksheet. Is it possible and how can I do it ?
  I would like that the files uploaded by the user go in a user specific directory base, e.g. on its login name. My configuration does not allow user to change login name. Is it possible and how can I do it ?

Hi, you can restrict the mime types for upload but for all users - to set it only for some selected, this needs to be customized - to assign the rule only with specific user group
