Download of a document, just refreshes the page

When a PDF file should be downloaded by clicking on the link in the front-end given by the component, the page is just reloading but the file is not opening nor downloading. When I clean the Joomla cache and open the file by using a direct link to the file in an article, it works until I try to open the same file within the category page.

I found in this forum a post about jquery conflicts and replaced the code as described - without success. Now it's the original code again.

What could the problem be?

Hi on the first link, I don't see any Phoca Download link.

On the second link I see some broken links to Phoca Download but no idea which part rendered them?

So, the link is not SEF link (does the menu link to Phoca Download exist?)

What part of your site renders the links on the second link, this is article, but does it render the plugin? If yes, does the menu link to Phoca Download exist? See: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... -in-joomla

Hi Jan, on the first link you find the link at the end of the article: "zum Artikel"
That the customers get the information, I have implemented a workaround (inserted the documents via the plugin) in the meantime. That's the reason why the second link doesn't work anymore. I have now created a new menu item in a blind menu which shows exactly the same problem: http://www.alpenbad.ch/com-autotweet-ti ... ssestimmen

This link is rendered by the component (show category, file list). As long as I insert the links with the content plugin, they work.
File list created by the content plugin (workaround). But this works only as long as nobody uses the links created by the component: http://www.alpenbad.ch/alpenbad/pressestimmen
