I'm using Phoca Download 3.0.6 on Joomla 3.3.6 and I'm not able to configure the system in order to give certain user groups the rights to upload a file from the frontend.
I followed the instructions as given here https://www.phoca.cz/documents/17-phoca- ... n-frontend and it works as long as my test user belongs to the user group "Manager", "Administrator" or "Super User". As soon as the user belongs to "Author", "Editor" or "Publisher" I will get the following message in the frontend: "You are not authorized to do this action". Even I set the user rights in these user categories same as for e.g. "Administrator" it will not solve the issue.
Do I have to change the access rights somewhere else as well?

Hi, and did you set this group in category edit - that such group can upload? (no specific user should be selected, only the group)

Hi Jan
In the Global Configuration I have set the permission rights to the respective groups. Even if I give them all the rights as for the Super User the error will be displayed.

Hi Jan
Sorry, but I don't know what you mean. Can you give me an advice in which menu I have to check these settings?

Re: upload rights for fronted upload
Hi Jan
As it still doesn't work I have checked all the settings once again:
- Menu created
- User Upload enabled
- upload rights assigned to the respective categories (only users may be selected, groups e.g. Author are not in the list)
Everything shows as it should be but I still get the error message in the fronted if I would upload the file.
Any other idea?

Re: upload rights for fronted upload
In my Testsystem I removed the whole Phoca Download and re-installed it again. Now it works but I have to add all the categories and documents again despite the fact that the documents are still stored in the respective folders. Is there a way to re-install the Phoca Download but preventing to manually import all the categories as well as documents into the newly installed Phoca Download again? It would be great not to add all the formerly given informations such as Title and descriptions again.

Re: upload rights for fronted upload
Hi, the only idea I have is:
- to backup the files and folders and the server and copy it again and:
a) readd the files and folders with multiple add function (not all information will be the same)
b) import the backed up database items to your database (which you have exported from your obsolete database
)

Re: upload rights for fronted upload
Jan found the mistake I did:
In Phoca Download go to Option - General. There you will find the option "Access Level - Registered Users" where you can set the user group to be allowed.
Thanks Jan, great Support
