Guys,
First the facility to upload images via media manager failed (error 404) but I got round using ftp to move graphics into the gallery (probably easier!) - all worked fine for a couple of days - but now after I upload it cannot create thumbnails. My site is under development at the moment, but hope to go live soon.

What does it mean, I cannot create thumbnail ??

After uploading to the gallery via ftp - if I then open Gallery, normally it automatically creates the thumbnail images. Now if I open Gallery it hangs trying to create the first thumbnail image.

So try to install new Phoca Gallery...

Barrie, are you sure you have the right permissions on the /thumbs folder? If it is not 757 or 777 it is my experience that the thumbnail generation hangs (only natural...).
