template width

I'm trying to use the nature template but am having a problem with the central column. It's doing some funny things to existing articles in terms of their layout, but more importantly, when I log into the site at the front end to try and adjust things using JCE, the right portion of the JCE box is chopped off in line with the beginning of the left column.

I'm wondering if it is possible to increase the overall width of the whole template, especially the central column, and if so, how do I go about doing that?

Your help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, the template has fixed width, so you can change it in the css but then the background images need to be changed too. :-(

I'm having the same problem, but for some reason it not only affects the editor, but also affects the content (text). The text uses a wider column than is available in the template resulting in chopped off sentences. Not only when editing, but on the live website! These articles should adapt to the available column-width, but seem to 'think' they have a wider column available.
The content in the two small columns on the front page isn't affected; they adapt to the available column width. All the other articles that use the complete width are affected though.
This is no problem with other templates, so has to be connected to phoca-ioca settings.
Can you tell me which setting in which file I have to change? I tried some settings in template.css, but couldn't solve the problem.

Thanks.

I seem to have found two solutions for the smaller width of the phoca ioca template and the problems it causes for existing content and the JCE editor:
1. for the existing content: make the original picture it contains smaller. It fit the old template, but is too wide for phoca ioca.
2. for the JCE editor: make the editor less wide, not by changing its settings, but by moving the icons of the editor that make the editor too wide (situated on the right of each line) to a line below; thus making the overall editor less wide. Like the pictures in the content mentioned under 1. it seems to stretch the column wider than is available in phoca ioca.

So, problem solved for me.
