I've got the gallery installed, using version 1.5.5, PHP 5, Joomla 1.5.0. I've added the gallery menu on the left side of the page. The only way I can explain this clearly is to show you, so: Site is here.

When you click on one of the menu items from the home page, for example "Residential", and go to the category page, you will note under the "Residential" item and image a *second* text link to "Residential" that produces a long list of every category in the gallery. This occurs only on the category pages, not on the main pages of the site.

I would like to remove this second link. Can you tell me how to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Exists this menu item in your item manager?

It does not exist in the phoca gallery Categories, or in the menu items set up for these categories. Unless you refer to something else by "item manager"? Since this problem does not appear on the main pages, I'm assuming that it's something within the phoca gallery setup somewhere. I have made sure that all subcategories items are set to "Hide", so I'm not sure where this is coming from.

Also, with this last upgrade, when one looks at the large images (detail view) the "pretty" buttons went away and I only have black and white buttons now. I also had to redo all the Joomla menu links--all the phoca categories went to 404s after the upgrade. It's possible that my problems are related to this.

But this is not a Ph

But this is not a Phoca Gallery menu, this is a standard Joomla! menu item?

404 -
I think no, but you right, all links must be new saved, because if you use SEF, SEF link will be invalid (upgrade will be solved in Joomla! 1.6)

I finally figured it

I finally figured it out, thanks to your questions making me think in a different line... I had set up a menu item for each main category, then thought I had to have a subdirectory under that.. not sure why. I've deleted those out and that took care of the problem. Thanks for your patience!

I had read that about SEF, thanks for the reminder. It's not like I have a huge menu to rebuild, but I'll be glad when the compatibility is adjusted in Joomla!1.6.

BTW, I really like this gallery component--I was looking for something not so flashy that it confuses older users, and your component was exactly what I needed. As soon as I get paid by the client you will be getting a donation from me.
