Public download not allowed

Hello,

I am very disappointed reading posts on that problem. The issue is: Anyone who is not registered cannot download a file. However, every accesses at all levels have been put to "Public" (Menu, Phoca download category, File). Pushing the button "Download" leads to the error message: "Not logged in users are not allowed to download".
For both Category and File I have:
Access: Public
Access Rights: empty

Infos: The Phoca Download version is 3.04 and Joomla version is 3.4.1.

What is the solution please to let unregistred people to download files?

Thank you in advance.

Hi, really no idea what can be wrong on your server. Phoca Download, as default, has standard download function for public, see:

https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/4 ... -component

The problem, why you cannot find solution here, is, this is not a problem in the component because as default public users can download and there is no reason to somehow limit them, so:

- I know, you have check it but try to check it again: all the rights: category access, file access and file access rights (one is for groups, second for selected users), menu link access rights
- try to check the cache settings, if there is not loaded some obsolete page (clear cache in your Joomla! if enabled and disable the cache)
- did you made a migrate or not? if yes, try to add new category and new file and test if this can be accessible? (Don't set any rights there)

Thank you for the answer but it doesn't fix the problem.

I have cleared the cache, I have checked all the accesses at all levels and the issue remains.
Maybe I do not understand the meaning of "(one is for groups, second for selected users)". In the Access Rights edit, I let it empty because all fields rely to a user admin: "All registred Users", "NoBody", and the users with login... What's happen if Access Rights is empty? What is the default then? Don't you think that user registred is taken by default?

There was no migration. However I tried to add a public menu with a public category to a Phoca Download Category view. I have added a category leaving all field values by default and I have added a file.
But still the problem. Must be registred to either download or see the file. The file is well listed.
I don't understand how it works...

Hmm, then really no idea, if all the parts were checked:

- menu link rights, category rights, file rights (groups and users), cache settings - cache disables and cleared. Are you able to install Phoca Download on some test server to test it on another server?
