Downloading from a Phoca Gallery category?

I have been unsuccessful at setting up Phoca Download so that we have the ability to download images that have been uploaded to a specific Phoca Gallery category. We are a camera club and have members upload to a monthly challenge category. I want to provide the person in charge with the ability to download these by herself. She is set up with Publisher rights. What am I missing? Running Joomla 3.4.3 and current Phoca modules. Thanks. -Rob

Hi, not sure what you exactly mean?

In Phoca Gallery, you can set download icon - if user clicks on it, the original image will be download.

If you add external link below the image in category list, such can link to Phoca Download file - but the external link needs to be set.

Jan, yes, I want to download each image and the download button in the Gallery would work but can I set that button with permissions? I only want "special" users to see it. Now when I display the download icon everyone sees it. Thanks. -Rob

Could the "Display download icon" be included in the OPTION tab when setting up a menu item for a category list? This would override the global option as the other options there do.
