When upgrading Phocadownload 3.1.0 I get this error "Copy file failed".
What is wrong?
Thanks in advanced.

Hi ratmil,

maybe some permissions and/or ownership problem. The installation is done by extension manager.
Check also: index.php > chmod 644

OT: Removed your post from PG.

Kind regards, Christine

Hi, christine, index.php in my Joomla installation is 644. Is that the file you mean?
I am able to install other extensions. Why can´t I upgrade phocadownload?

Hi ratmil,

Yes I meant e.g. index.php > 644. But also: tmp/logs folder should be writeable.
But you wrote, you are able to install other extensions ....

Reason also could be: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/17-phoca- ... em-solving
So, try this way:
Download com_phocadownload_ftp_install.zip file from Phoca Download download site and install it in your Joomla! administration site:

Go to Extensions » Install/Uninstall. Now you are in Extensions Manager. Click on:

Upload Package File - select the com_phocadownload_ftp_install.zip file from your disc and click on Upload File &Install.

This file is very small. It doesn't contain Phoca Download files (these were copied by FTP), so there shouldn't be any problem with PHP Memory or CPU anymore. After installation you can select if you want Install or Upgrade Phoca Download.

Kind regards, Christine

Well, that should work, but it didn´t. I got "JInstaller: :Install: Can't find Joomla XML setup file."

If you get the following message while installation of Phoca Gallery: JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file, then it seems like your server has a limitation in that it can only extract or create archives with less files than your OS's file handle limit.
So, then try it in this way: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... setup-file
(above is also valid for other PG extensions).
