Unable to Delete photos from Phoca Gallery

Phoca Gallery 4.2.1

Iv installed gallery
set up a category and uploaded about 10 photos to it. and decided i don't like any of them, I select the photos i want to remove and click delete on the menu above and nothing happens.
iv set the permissions to 777 on the site under options and via ftp. but the delete button still dose not work, Also tried from the front end as well but nothing happens

at this time all options are left to install default.

i did earlier try to unpublished and un authorized everything but still got the same result.
i know that there is a seperate DB table and would rather not have to edit that when removing files.

Hi,

To set the permissions to 777 is not recommended!

Try to remove the images via FTP, as they (I think so) are still in category.
And/or under: content/media folders.
