Guestbook breaks template css and menu animation

Post by PaysB »

Hi,

First of all I would like to thank you for your excellent Guestbook component that I have been using for years now on several websites. Keep up the good work!

I run into a problem. When I install Phoca Guestbook version 3.0.4 on a Joomla 3.4.5 website, my template is not loading correctly, submenu animation is not working as it should.

Have a look at http://www.mwebs.eu/demo/index.php/fr/i ... livre-d-or

In Firefox JS debug I see the following errors:
ReferenceError: Hash is not defined modal.js:7:7444
ReferenceError: Joomla is not defined livre-d-or:85:7
ReferenceError: Joomla is not defined livre-d-or:277:2
ReferenceError: Tips is not defined livre-d-or:67:8

These errors are only produced on the webpage with Phoca Guestbook. All other pages on my website have no errors at all.

Thanks!

Hi, did you check the modules which are displayed on the same page like Phoca Guestbook

In fact, guestook component does not need to load any specific javascripts, etc. The one is for reload captcha (very easy), second for tabs switching - standard one.

So please try to disable all the modules loaded on the site - and let me know

Sorry that it took so long to reply. I was busy with another project.

For this website I am using the Kallyas template from Themeforest. The solution was in fact very simple. In the template settings I enabled "Load Mootools" and everything worked as it should.

So in fact it was not a Phoca Guestbook problem, as you already thought, but just a simple template setting that I overlooked so far.

Thanks anyway for your help!!

PS. How can I change the status of this post into "Solved"?
