I provide access to a freeware installation file to download.
Phoca Download keeps a log of the activity including the IP address.

Is there any way with Joomla user groups or via a custom separate list so users can register their email address? I'd like to build a list so people can be notified of new releases.

Is there any link on the best practice to achieve this?
