Issue with the Phoca_Wallpapers2 template

Hi there,

I'd like to use Phoca_Wallpapers2 template, but I've got some error messages. The installation was successful without any issues.

If I open the Control Panel of the Phoca Template I got the following messages:

Notice: Use of undefined constant DS - assumed 'DS' in C:\xampp\apps\joomla\htdocs\administrator\components\com_phocatemplate\phocatemplate.php on line 12

Warning: require_once(C:\xampp\apps\joomla\htdocs\administrator/components/com_phocatemplateDScontroller.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\xampp\apps\joomla\htdocs\administrator\components\com_phocatemplate\phocatemplate.php on line 12

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'C:\xampp\apps\joomla\htdocs\administrator/components/com_phocatemplateDScontroller.php' (include_path='.;C:\xampp\php\PEAR') in C:\xampp\apps\joomla\htdocs\administrator\components\com_phocatemplate\phocatemplate.php on line 12

As I'm new to this topic I would like to ask for some advice and help.
First of all I would like to know whether this template is compatible with my Joomla and Phoca Gallery version.
If not, is there a possibility to upgrade this template accordingly?

I served this forum allready, unfortunately I found no solution for this problem.

SW-Status:
Joomla: 3.4.6
Phoca Gallery: 4.2.2
Phoca Template: Phoca_Wallpapers2 - Standard

Many thanks in advance

KarEm

No, it is not compatible, because it is a Joomla! v2.5 template.
And no, there is no available upgrade for this template. :(
See: https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/5 ... -templates

Kind regards,
Benno

Hi Benno,

thanks for your reply.

Does the mean this template remains for ever in a v2.5 status?
If yes, could you perhaps point me to the sources that need to be adapted?

Thx and best regards
KarEm

Sorry, I can not answer this question, because I don't know the plans of Jan (the only developer of all Phoca extensions) regarding this template.. :(

Kind regards,
Benno

Hi Benno,

ok, got it, thanks.

Maybe you could help me with the following question:

Is the Phoca Template Component (de-DE.com_phocatemplate_17.zip) a precondition for a v3 template?

I guess not, would it be sufficient to install the Phoca Gallery and a v3 template like Phoca Tre?

Thx and Best regards
KarEm

Hi,

No, this is a german language package for Phoca Template Component. This has nothing to do with Phoca templates.
See: https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/5 ... -component

Benno

Hi Benno,

apologize, my misktake (copy and past).

Best regards
KarEm

No, it is not. As I wrote above, Phoca Template Component has nothing to do with Phoca Templates.
Would it be sufficient to install the Phoca Gallery and a v3 template like Phoca Tre?
You can use any Phoca v3 Template or, if you like, a Joomla! v3 Standard Template like e.g. Protostar.
