All subcategories files

Hello,
is there a way by a menu item to show all the files within a category including also files in subcategories enabled for user ?
(I've searched in forum but not found a related question)

Hi, see similar posts in this forum, this needs to be customized as this needs to be set directly for the server - listing all categories, subcategories and files at once can overload the server performance - possible security problem. See more info in similar posts.

Could you show me the good post ? I've written this post because I've not found the correct topic ...
I don't have problem with overloading and performance because there are only few files loaded for each user logged-in user

I am not sure if there is some exact solution, I didn't do such customization yet, so I don't know any exact solution, but in some posts there were some good advices to achieve this.
