Hi,
how can i make Audios (mp3s) playable for IOS / Iphones?
will this require a smil File?
Is there any advice or workaround you could provide?
My Problem is (latest Versions, Joomla und Phoca download) that Audios stop playing after ~5 Minutes

Hi, in which view you preview (play) them? In Category view or in plugin?
Try to set HTML5 for Audio/video in Phoca Download Options (Play Settings)

Category view and i have turned of Details or Play or Preview Button.
Its the download Button.
I already set this HTML5 Player to "on".
Do i have to use that "Play/ Preview" button?

Just tested it with the Play button in Flash and HTML5 Audio. Both isnt working.
Player kinda freezes.
But it would be awesome to have one Button for everything. (Play and Download)
actually its working with Download on every device except with Apple IOS.
Here it plays at least 5 Minutes.

Hi, then this should be a question on the operating system developers - in fact there html or flash player loads and is ready for playing the file in your OS - if it does not play, then e.g. flash needs to be installed, or html5 support needs to be set in the OS or browser.

for _ _ (IOS) there should be something like a smil File which controls the Playback in 30 secs pieces.
Or am i wrong?
the download button works but on _ _ it plays only the first 5 Minutes from each file.

Hi, this is really something I have no experiences and I cannot influence. Phoca Download creates a link to preview and how it is handled by browser/OS this then is a question on browser/OS. The component can only produce html/javascript/css code - but how this output will be run, depends on browser/OS.
So if there is a link to the play file and it is set in html5 tags which is standard then some limit is set in browser/OS - if there is some feature which limits playback, really no experience
I don't understand what you mean with "have a button for everything (play and download) Play and download are different functions so if user wants to play the file, he/she clicks on play if he/she wants to download it, he/she clicks on download.
