Setting diferent system folder per category

Hello,
is there any possibility to set a specific folder for a category? I would like to have the same folder tree in my system as the categories I have in Phoca Download component, and when a user uploads a file from the front end, it is saved in the correct folder.
Thanks a lot.

Hi, it is up to you, when you assign the category to folder, then you can have folders = categories.

Hi Jan,
thanks for your reply, but I've got a little bit lost when you say "assign the category to folder". How can I do that? What I found is that I can assign a general folder where to save the files (by default phocadownload) or when a user uploads a file it is save in the phocadownload/userfolder. What I need is that the file is save in a folder acording to the category name (for example, if I have category1 it is save in the category1 folder, and so on).
I'm sorry if I'm not very clear, english is my second language.
Thanks again
Filiberta

Hi, if you mean frontend upload, there is no option to set a folder, the folder is created for each user by his/her name.
In backend, you can create folder on your server and then if you set the category and upload images to the system, you can just upload it to the folder which hase the same name like category.
But generally, Phoca Download has independent database and filesystem layer, so folder is not tied with category.

Yes, that's what I meant, in front end uploads. Thanks a lot for your time and answers. This is a great extension.
