mod_menu - spacing?

hi,

i really love this mod, exactly what i was looking for, but:

which screw do i have to turn to get more space between the mainmenu and the expanding submenu and subsubmenu?
further on there´s a small border or padding around the submenus - where do i have to eliminate that?
can´t find the right css definitions to get that work...

any ideas folks?
