I'm configuring Phoca Gallery in a site under development. It's working great except for a couple of non-displaying items. it won't display descriptions in the detail window, and I can't get it to display the download icon. Both parameters have been set to "Show" and saved, and my browser cache flushed.

Only the first three pictures have entries in the description field.

No trouble working when I changed other parameters, such as thumbnail size.

Any idea what might be going on?

Problem isolated:

When you click down from the category list to one category, SmartSEF is rewrites that URL not to include the original menu Itemid, which means that Phoca Gallery doesn't pick up the parameters that are associated with that particular menu item.

It seems impossible to disable SmartSEF just for the one component, and way too much time to rewrite each individual URL for a gallery! Anyone else run into this with an SEO tool?

Hi, it works with standard SEF which is builded in Joomla framework...

Right, thanks. I've given up on SmartSEF for now and gone back to the standard Joomla SEF -- was running into too many problems with multiple components.

Other question: descriptions. They display fine for individual pictures, but not for a slide show. Is this a bug or a feature, or did I do something wrong?

No, descriptions are not displayed if slideshow is running

I have the same problem. Before I update, I see my description. After Update I cannot see my descritption in the Gallery. I write and can read entrys, but see it not online.

What I can do to fix it?

Did you set the parameters for displaying description to on after upgrading....

Where I can configure it?
I mean the discription for every picture, not for categrie.

That is funny. In the Module I see the description from the Picture.
But not if I look in the galery.

Did you enable the parameters component - display description...

Module takes data from default settings (because it is not a component and it has no own settings), so if there is 'display description on' in default settings, you get it for module...

But Component takes parameters from parameters component in menu link... This parameters component override the default settings, so if no 'display description on' is set in parameters component, you get no description for component...
