First i want to say that you have done a great job with this software. I am really impressed.
I have seen the feature request list on your site and would like to add several features to this list.
We are switching from an other cms (cmsimple) to Joomla 1.5 at the moment and we have a lot of work for our small family site
But we come across several small issues which would be nice in a new version.
1) It would be nice if you could have a parameter which is the number of lines the description in details view may be. Now we can only see 1 line of text and we would like to have some more lines
2) While changing the info on a photo, you cannot directly go to the next photo. You must save it, close the popup window, go down the list of photo's (sometimes 80 in a category) open the next photo and edit this one.
It would be nice if there was a button to save the changes, then click a new button to go to the next picture, without leaving the popup box. This is mainly handy if you add a lot of photos at once and you have to add description to all off them (after a nice vacation for instance )
3) In the details few in the frontend everybody has to use the mouse to click on any button to go to the next photo (if they don't use the slideshow). But if you have a lot of photo's it would be easier if you could clik on the Cursor Keys instead of a mouseclick. The buttons do change their position depending on the picture and then is the cursor key easier.
4) If you want to change a photo that does NOT have a title, you must click the box in front of the phototo select it, then scroll up and click on Change. With 80 or more photo's in a category, this is not nice work. If the photo has a title, you can click in the title, but a space as title is not clickable (or better: we cannot find the space). It would be nice to have a small icon next to the photo to make the changes.
We have tried to use the pageview set on 5 as maximum so you don't have to scroll up after selecting the photo, but if you are on page 12 and you save a desciption, you go back to the first page and will have to go back to page 12 etc.
5) It would be nice to have the desciptions in the slideshow and not just if 1 photo is displayed.
6) If i use the slideshow, i cannot pause it. If i click on Stop, it goes back to the point were i started it. Would be nice to have a pause possibility.
7) If i few several photo's in detailsmode and then want to start the slideshow, it goes back to the beginning and starts the slideshow. But i would like it to start at the point where i am now.
The font in thumbnailview is Bold and Italic. In Detailsview it is not bold and not italic. It would be nice if this was some parameter to change the font. I probably can find the code in the php files, but with a next update, this will be overwritten, so a parameter would be very nice (1 for thumbnailview and 2 for detailsview).
9) And the last one for the moment: if you are looking at the detailsview, you have no idea how many photo's are still to come.
On my current cms i have slimbox with the option to show: 5 from 80 photos.
So a person has some idea where he is and how much is till to come.
Would this be possible in Phoca Gallery?
