I had good install first time but when I had multiple problems with photo Titles I discovered that the file names had spaces, &, etc and found that that, most likely, was the problem there.
Next I uninstalled the plugin and deleted the files and folders from my disk-space.
Next I installed the Gallery plugin... Successful. But... even though it installed ok and is enabled it is not showing up on the Components drop-down menu.
I am guessing that there is an un-removed component blocking this but what?
What next?
Thanks for any help in getting this up again... it looks great when it is running.

Hi, did you delete the plugin or component, which files and folders did you delete? Did you delete the thumbs folders?... Where is it not showing? (Where is Components drop-down menu?)

In Joomla I uninstalled the plugin and, using cPanel I deleted the folder that contained the thumbs and all.
It is not listed in the Components drop-down menu... nor is it listed as a choice when I go to make a new menu item in Main Menu.
Also, another development is that I now find that my template only works for the front page and not for any others. I believe that this template thing is just a coincidence but I have reached the point where I feel it would be better just to completely begin with an new Joomla install and rebuild the site. Very frustrating.
Thanks for your help.

I had the host return my disk space to default... new... condition.
I installed a fresh, clean installation of Joomla! 1.5.
I installed Phoca Gallery Plugin.
It installed OK but is not available for use... as if it does not exist.
It does show up on the listing of plugins however and it is indicated as "enabled" by the green check mark next to it in the Extensions --> Plugin Manager screen listing.
With a clean disk space and new Joomla install and new Gallery install I do not understand why it does not work.
Thanks.

Jan,
Please forgive me. You are right on... I had the plugin, not the module.
I "couldn't see the forest for the trees"... I am usually not this dense mentally, and all I can say in my defense is that I have been ill lately.
Thank you for bearing with me and setting me straight... you have a good extension there.
This will also end the other thread I started.
