first, thanks for this great (in my case: joomla) component!

One thing I think would be a great improvement in terms of presentation:
PicLens support (piclens.com)
Any chance this would be implemented?

thanks again

It is only Joomla! component...

I still don't understand how to implement two different products. Do you have any idea?

I don't think it's about two different products. Phoca Gallery offers the functionality to include and present pictures in a good way in a joomla site (as it is now), but for those end users who have installed the PicLens plugin, they are given the choice to have the pictures presented in the neat PicLens interface. But as I understand, this requires some coding in the gallery sollution.

Sites like Flickr, Google picasa web images support PicLens today.
Gallery project will support PicLens in the upcoming release.

So besides actually making it work (have no idead how much effort this takes), what's the downside?

Sorry if I've misunderstood something (english is not my native lang)

thanks

I understand you good, the problem is that I don't know anything about Piclens, If I wanted to see the video, there were no needed information for me... If I wanted to download it, the link didn't work (if you are windows user click here, I clicked and nothing happened)... Maybe if I install it... I take a look at it and will see...

Next problem I have, I cannot find any API

I wasn't aware of PicLens before couple of days ago, but it's expanding really fast. Take a look at all the reviews here.

I'm not sure why it doesn't work to install for you, but I recommend trying with firefox (if you aren't already). Just click the big "download" image. Firefox automaticly blocks other sites from downloading extensions, so you have to allow it by clicking the yellow infobar that shows up in the top of the browser. Then, once again, click download.
(note, piclens only works on windows and mac, not linux yet)

I'm not sure how to actually implement the PicLens support, maybe it's very easy, like adding a special ID-tag to each image or something. I can't find any API either, but this site helps a little. Also, maybe it's worth looking at how the gallery project implemented this support in the upcoming version (2.3). Hopefully some of the developers are kind enough to share some insight in the forum.

I'm sorry that I can't help out in a technically way, I'm not skilled in coding :-/

thanks again

1) Download Phoca Gallery version 1.6.4
2) Upgrade your Phoca Gallery to 1.6.4
3) Go to Default Settings - enable PicLens
4) Go to Phoca Gallery - Categories - Select category (or all categories) - Click on PicLens Button (top right) to create PicLens RSS file(s)
5) Enjoy your PicLens slideshow....

Hello,

It's great idea to implement PicLens option !

I test it on my web site (after doing an upgrade) and it's work well. But i saw that my slide show PicLens has been reversed compare with Phoca Gallery. Is it normal ? I'm using FF

Hi, I have changed the ordering... download the 1.6.4 now... but it will be still different:

Piclens displays images vertically

Still using same order. First picture is on right side to last one on left side !

Maybe because i need to sort my rss links ?

Another problem : on 44 pictures, i see only 20 and nothing to see others (neither next page link or drop-doawn menu to choose more than 20)

- using phoca viewer it's ok i can see all 44 pics

to test : http://www.passiondumonde.fr/index.php? ... ies&Itemid =37

For information : i upgrade from 1.5.0 to 1.6.4 today and i think it was ok before (can't really remember)

Thanks
