Recently file download does't work anymore.
Firefox works fine.
IExplorer: the browser tries to open the "alias" not the filename
Opera message: This website is not available
Any idea?

Hi, the download does now work for me everywhere - try to check if the path to the files is right, check it in edit of the file. Try to see errorLog on your site if there is no some php error which prevents from downloading the files. Try to check limits on your server, if there are some?

Hi Jan, sorry to tell you that phocadownload still do not work. The problem has changed a little bit.
I'm not able to change the download path at the backend options.
I enter the administation area of my ste and the phocadownload control center.
When I click on options I get native html code without any css.
And I can not edit expert settings because the parameter are not displayed.
What I need is to change the dwonload path.
I have done many procdures to clean the installation:
de-installation
delete of remainig files
delete og remaining tables in the database
new installation.
Nothing helps.
Is it possible to change the download path directly? Ini file or database entry?
I am grateful for every advise.
Thanks
Dirk

Hi, I think you need to solve the problem with Joomla! administration first. Try to enable php error reporting to see if there is no error. Phoca Download Options are rendered in Joomla! Parameters view (option = com_config) so if there is a problem with displaying parameters, you need to check this component.
Parameters are stored in database in extensions table (under params column) and yes you can directly set it there.
