Feature request: Not Products / Categories rule in Coupons & Discounts

Hi,

Is it possible to add a "not Products" and "not Categories" selection for the Products and Coupons rules. It could be eg a Yes/No (include not include) buttons to have the negation to existing products and rules fields.

That would be very good in a case you have for example few products you cannot discount out of a very large number products. Then you could just give the those products. With categories that could be even better as you could make for example a "Non discountable" category and have it selected.

Hi, thank you for the idea, there can be more ways how to achieve it

To add next parameters to the current:
Products, Except Products, Categories, Except Categories

or to add some check field which will reverse the selection, e.g.
Selected will be Product 1 and Product 2. When checkbox will be enabled - these products should be valid, when disabled, all products should be valid except these.

The problem is, this can be confused for users can and when the user is not careful he/she can completely change the functionality of this feature (reverse way)

So for this some clue solution needs to be found

For example new two parameters:

Valid Products: Only products selected
All products except those selected

Valid Categories: Only categories selected
All categories except those selected

I think the administrator form fields could be constructed similar way as in this example:

That is quite easy way to select if you want to include or exclude categories or products.

Ok, thank you very much for the info, yes, the name "category filter" include/exclude is understandable, I will try to implement it in next version.

Thank you, Jan
