update to version 3.1.4

I recently updated to Joomla! 3.8.2 and now I want to update Phoca Download to 3.1.4 but when I install I get the error: -1 copy file failed.
What should I do?

check if the permissions are OK (644)

Hi Christine.
I have the same issue with upgrading from 3.1.2 to 3.1.4 on a 3.8.3 J! site.
I don't think it's a permission issue as I can update other components correctly, but if it was the case, what permissions (which folder(s)) are you referring to?

Hi hoatzin & jfquestiaux,
I'm afraid, as I didn't had such problems (tried before).
Therefore just only ideas: Check all CSS of PD e.g. default.css etc. > 644
clear (via FTP) the tmp folder (except index.html)
