product additional images to show as main image when selected

Hi,
I have a product which is available in different colour options. I have the product set up to show a large image with the colour options showing as additional images below as thumbnails. When one of these smaller images are clicked on, a pop up box is displayed showing the larger image of the one selected.
I need the larger image of the additional image selected to display as the main product image. For example, on ebay, a product image is displayed with smaller images below. If you select one of the smaller images, the main image changes to the one selected.
I am a novice and was wondering how this is done in Phoca Cart?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Also, is there a way of including a text box for customers to add information required for an order, on a product page?
Many Thanks

I have found a video which shows exactly what I need, but the problem is it seems to be from an older version of Phoca cart. In product attributes, I have a 'Type' choice of Color (select) or Color (Checkbox), not just 'Color'. If someone could take a look at the video and explain where I am going wrong please.

Thanks in advance

Hi, image displayed below the main image do not work with the variants directly. If you want to set e.g. color variants, just add the attributes, select them as color type and assign image to each parameter. In options, enable displaying (switch/swap) of images of variants, just follow the video, there were no changes regarding the attributes.
