I Pad display jumbled

Post by jrjr »

https://www.lakeshoreleather.com/holsters

The site works well on my desktop with linux and windows 7 in Fire Fox and Chrome, and also my laptop with Win 10 in both browsers and also the Edge browser. Also works ok on my Android phone with Chrome. When viewing on the wife's _ _ in Chrome both the category and product displays are jumbled. Categories and products are stacked on top of each other and it's a real mess. Not usable....
What to do?

Joomla 3.9.1
Phoca 3.1.5
PHP version 7.2.12

I took some pics of the i pad in question. You can see them at this page along with a shot of the correct display-

I checked a bunch of other sites on her pad and they all seem ok...... I have no clue why

Hi,

I don't have i Pad & don't know why it's working differently. Some infos which "could" have relevance:

- Protostar comes with BS2 - Phoca Cart with BS3.
http://joomlablogger.net/joomla-tutoria ... -tutorials > read more
- https://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?t=958397

other info: there is a syntax error:

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p></p>
<p><b> <div class="moduletable">
<div class="ph-product-module-box"><div class="ph-item-box">etc.

Kind regards
Christine

I set Categories View Layout to Colspan and the i pad displays correctly.... not jumbled. The issue must be in the standard layout somewhere but it is better at least on the i pad. I prefer the standard view for my needs though but oh well.

When I click on a category and enter that page, it is still jumbled. Switching to grid list displays ok.

When I enter a value in Image Width (Categories View) or Image Height (Categories View) and save it nothing changes in the category view in the store. I tried several different values with no changes.

Also when I change Number of columns (Categories view) nothing changes. In Standard that worked to insert a third column and shrink the only 2 in the category view. Not in Colspan though.

I am not sure how but the problem seems to be resolved. Maybe the i pad just needed attention or something.... lol I switched lots of settings and am back to where I started and it is working ok. Thanks, you can mark it solved if you like. I don't see an option for me to do it or I would.

Hi,

Other setting/changes etc. could be problem as already mentioned, that Protostar comes with bootstrap 2. Phoca Cart with Bootstrap 3 in connection with grid layout etc.

And/Or: If you made an update to Joomla 3.9.1, then the standard template of Protostar (here I think about the previous matter of menus on #aside) could become some Core changes. Infos & more about e.g.Protostar-copy: http://bj.zemplate.com/protostar-respon ... -rename-it

All CSS changes you should write to your user.css. Otherwise Protostar will overwrite previous codes in template.css after Core update.

Kind regards
Christine
