Filter the markers: is it doable?

Hi there,
I'd like to know if it possibile to do something like this:

on my map I have 2 kind of markers: a-Hotels / b-Restaurant

At the bottom of the map, is it possible to put something like
checkboxes, or Select List, where the user che select a or b ?

in this way the user can choose to see only hotels or restaurants.
