Frontend upload - 0 call to a member function getname () on null

Hi Jan,

I just updated a site to 3.1.6 and the frontend upload via a menu link stopped working, with error:

0 call to a member function getname () on null

on the Chrome tab, and a "page not found" on the actual page.

I've rolled the site back to 3.1.4 and it's working fine.

Hi, when you enable php error reporting or view the errorLog on server, do you get some more detailed error message (including the file and line where the error occurs)?

Jan has solved my problem! The issue was, I had an override in mytemplate/html/com_phocoadownload/user, which was created on an earlier version of PhocaDownload. Jan advised some obsolete functions had been removed in PhocaDownload 3.1.6, and he tracked the problem down to an old function in that override.

Solution: Recreate the override from the latest 3.1.6 to make sure all the code is correct.

Hi. Hope it is okay to reopen this post of nicky because I have the exact same issue. The suggested solution is not working for me as I don't have any overrides for phoca download.

Can you please advise on how to fix the issue for me as well?

So when you switch to default (for test), it should be Ok.
Try to see this:

This should be similar issue.
Please let me know if this works for you, if yes, I will implement it in next version.

try again (update) to latest version 3.1.7 from feb3rd: https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/ ... -component. Maybe it's now included. Because the last post/info was from feb1st
