Hi there,

Thank you making such overall wonderful softwares...

Can you please help me with 1 small problem?

I am using Joomla v1.5.14, PHP4,Joomlabamboo's Grid [July 2009] template and Phocagallery plugin...

[No, I can't upgrade to PHP5

]

It works perfectly on:

PC:
Internet Explorer 6, [don't have v7 to test]
Firefox v3.x & v3.5x, Opera v10.x,

Mac:
Safari v4.x, Firefox v3.5.x, Opera v10.x, Camino v2.x

BUT Internet Explorer 8 - the portfolio page crashes with weird output... [broken CSS like behavior or something like that]

Hi, on line 24 there is:

$path		= &PhocaGalleryPath::getPath();

this is a standard code used in Joomla, see e.g.:

$document			= &JFactory::getDocument();
$uri 				= &JFactory::getURI();
$menus			= &JSite::getMenu();

But the broken css can be related to php4 where the code to check all the css doesn't work

humm I appreciate the reply but I don't see how this is helping solving the problem.

Are you saying that you're not going to fix the flackyness/behavior of it for Internet Explorer ?

since it works perfectly well for all the other browsers?

As I mentioned, I can't upgrade to PHP5.

Hi,

the code e.g. &JFactory::getDocument(); is used and it works in php4 and php5. See forum.joomla.org where the developers explain this problem. As the code should work in php4 and php5 there is no solution how to remove the strict warnings. So this can be set in php that such strict warnings will be not displayed in the error log.

But THIS is not related to the problem you have. The warning messages in error log don't cause the problem in IE. There is maybe some other problem. I speak about php5 because for some users, upgrading to php5 was helpful (the php4 didn't check for loaded css files) So this IE bug can be solved by PHP5 (not 100% sure, if it is your problem too).

So I am not sure, which error you exactly get but if this is the loading of more CSS IE problem, maybe the upgrading to php5 can help. As I didn't find any other solution yet
