All of a sudden it is impossible to publish new listings on https://kleine-rijopleidingen.nl/gastenboek.
No errors are shown and Phoca Guestbook runs in the latest version. Any idea what goed wrong and how to solve this?

you mean publishing a new entry in the backend?
Today I made a new entry in your guestbook, which has to be published in the backend. Can you please make a screenshot of this publishing process and of the possible error message? If no error message appears, please look into the Javascript console, if there are errors.
Another question: Is it possible that your Hosting Provider change e.g. the PHP version of your Joomla! without informing you?

Yes, publishing a new entry in the backend. The same happens when I try to add a listing in the backend and set it to published immediately, it remains unpublished. No errors are shown anywhere, just nothing happens. PHP has been running in 7.3 for quite some time already.

What do you mean with 'listing'? Publish a new guestbook?
What rights do you have in backend?
Are you logged in as superuser?
As long as the real problem is not found you can publish entries with help of e.g. phpMyAdmin.

Yes, I am a super user and so is my customer. Using PHP Myadmin is really not an option for him.
With listing I mean a new record for the questbook, a new entry.

Hi, using phpMyAdmin was suggested to temporarily fix the problem on the server.

Hmmm, tested now Phoca Guestbook component with PHP 7.3.1 - get everything working OK

What is the parameter option value by parameters:
- Display Posts
- Review Item
?

Hi Jan,
The guestbook used to work fine your years up untill now while nothing changed.
Perhaps it would be easier to give you access to Joomla so that you can check things yourself? I'm not sure what information you're asking for.

These are options of Phoca Guestbook, just see the option.

- the first just hides the post (display posts)
- the second hides them until they are reviewed by admin (review item)





If it worked and then it stopped to work, you need to see server logs - just to see what changed there

The posts are hidden until reviewed by an administrator, as always was the case to prevent spam posts being visible for visitors. I have no clue on what to look for in the server log.

Hi, sorry for the confusing, now I understand. I misunderstood it. The posts are there but you are not able to publish them in administration. There was such problem in past because of changes in Joomla! but this was solved in some of the latest version. Are you sure, you are running the latest Phoca Guestbook version?
