Help me understand this option. If set to NO it is support to strip out comment like {phocagallery ...}? If set to YES it is will show it? I asked because I have tried YES and NO I am still getting {phocagallery ...} in my output. Am I misunderstanding?

Hi, it means, that if you have some code in your article (plugin code), the standard PDF cannot work with it and will display it. In Phoca PDF you can hide it so it will be not displayed but this work only for standard code like {phocagallery ...}

That's how I interrupted it as well but I kept seeing the plugin code in my pdf. Did some poking around and found out that I had a break <br /> in a very long code line. The phocagallery plugin testing I was doing had no issue with the break but once Phoca PDF saw it it no longer treated it as code to be hidden. I removed the break and now the PDF doesn't show the code anymore.

This of course leads me to another question since it is working now and not showing the phocagallery code, even with the display images set to yes, producing a PDF with an article containing the phocagallery plugin doesn't show the pictures. Is it suppose to show the picture or this only works if there is a standard <img src> tag in the article?

Yes, but it doesn't work 100%, sometimes, there can be some limitation (restrictions, ownership, permissios) which can prevent from successfully displaying of an image. :(
