Order status after finish checkout

Hello,
I have the following problem:
I have set up a shop. After that I am doing some orders and do the checkout, the status of that order is automatic set to completed and not to pending.
Here my question: Is that the standard or have I set an option attribute, so that the status will be set to pending after a checkout and not to completed?

Hi, it depends on used payment method. It can influence the status. If not, then the status is automatically set by Options:
