We upload a lot of mp3 files that users can either Download or just Play. Statistics and the Details button only show number of Downloads for the file, not the number of Plays. Is there a way to find out how many times a file was Played without being Downloaded?

Hi, for now there is no such option, so this needs to be customized in the code

The problem here is, server can only count if some website was displayed or not, but it cannot get information if the file was relly played or not. So if server will display the player on the site (e.g. in popup window), it can count, this windows was displayed but it has no information about if the file was played or not (when there are robots which just visit this site, then the statistics can be very inaccurate)

Thanks Jan, I understand the problem. However, I would be quite happy if I could just count every time the Play Button was clicked/tapped because most people on our website use their Android phones to play the mp3 files and Bots are not such a problem there. I don't need to know if the whole file was played.
Anyway, thanks for a great extension. I have been using it on various websites for over 6 years now.
