Download Button shows code and not link

When I use the download button, the code inserted, is what I see when I go to the page.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong... can someone tell me?

Have you installed download plugin?
You need both of them:
- download plugin
and
-download button plugin

I know this is an old article but I'm experiencing this problem myself.
I'm using Joomla 3.2.1
and the latest versions of
Phoca Downloads
Phoca Download Plugin
Phoca Download Button.

All that shows up in my articles is {phocadownload view=file|id=3|text=Invite List|target=s}
No button, not even a link.

All my plugins are published and available to the public.

Any thoughts?

Hi, as written in previous posts, this can happen:

- when the plugin is not installed (Phoca Download Plugin)
- when the plugin is not activated (Phoca Download Plugin)
- when the plugin is in place which is not content article

Try to check all this
