Hi,

I need help to see what I can do for the customer has purchased sth and want to download the file.

[1] cancellation scenario:
when the customer cancels a purchase the website returns to a page which I am not able to pin point, takes the default template of my joomla and I won't be able to do anything on that page.
What is the solution?
here is the URL:
...../?option=com_phocacart&view=info

[2] successful purchase scenario:
The purchase is made and the the customer click on return to merchant and wants to download the file.
this doesn't happen either.
the customer returns to this page again:
.../?option=com_phocacart&view=info
with a successful purchase message. :-D

but cannot do anything.
The customer cannot download or login or anything.

I have made an external link pin pointing to this page so you can check it out:
https://www.bahramabedini.com/en/?optio ... &view=info

[3] if you make a download page , there is no login prompting the user.

[4] is there a way instead of the guest checkout so that customer can signup? so he/she can login and download?

Hi,
[3]+[4]
You can create a Phoca Cart menu item 'Download-Layout':

You can inform your customers via email about the Downloadlink.
See: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/116-phoc ... or-vendors
{downloadlink}

Thank you Benno,

I already have the download layout, but the problem is that the user who has checked out as guest would not be able to login or stay logged in after the successful purchase. and in the phoca checkout page , there is no registration process nor the guest checking out process saves their data as login credentials. The first step has a registration word but I don't know where it is.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Do you know which file in the backend contains the code for the returning pages?
If I can find the code to this URL: .../?option=com_phocacart&view=info
I can manipulate it to go to download page instead of a blank page with a system message.

or I can put some buttons in that page so the customer can select what to do next. like going to download page or choosing something else to do. :) 🛒

Hi,
The first step has a registration word but I don't know where it is.
You need to set: backend --> Users --> Options --> Allow User Registration=Yes
to see the 'Create An Account' button.

Benno ,

Thanks a lot!
I was looking for that in phoca cart setting. Then from your post I understood that I need to turn it ON in the joomla side.

Now I did that and the problem is that when I click on registration it goes to Joomla registration itself.
then the customer needs to find the shop again. find the cart again and continue.

I wish if it was inside the checkout process like any other shop out there. A streamlined smooth purchase.

but this is something I can work with.

Now I only need to fix the point of returns.

Hi, when users are registered on your site, there are registered to whole Joomla! system. Having registering for only one part of the system will be very problematic. So this is why Phoca Cart uses standard Joomla! registration form.

Just imagine, user will register in cart but then he/she needs to register extra for newsletter, forum, gallery, etc. etc.
