Hello,
I have browsed the forum for 2 hours with numerous search queries and read the documentation about access rights, still doesn't find the answer.
I want my visitors to be able to download files without registration. I put both categories and files to access right public, but still it doesn't do the trick. I also looked into some generic joomla access settings but could not get the behavior I am looking for.
I am on Joomla 3.9.23
Component Phoca Download 3.2.0
Phoca Download Button Plugin 3.0.6
Phoca Download Plugin 3.2.1
Anybody who can me point to the right direction? Much appreciated. Regards Allard

Re: Public access requires registration
Hi, see:
https://www.phoca.cz/download
as default this component just displays files for public and pulic users can download all files.
If some of your file or site is protected, check all the rights:
- check the menu link access rights
- check the category access rights
- check the file/files access rights and access (one is for setting access rights for groups, second for specific users).

Re: Public access requires registration
Hello Jan,
Thank you for your reply much appreciated.
I double checked all your hints and it all points to access 'Public'.
The file and folder attributes are set to Edit for Public as well.
It still doesn't work.
Thanks for your support I will just reinstall the whole plugin see if that helps.
