Re: Phoca Cart Filter Module->Category Options->Force Category. How use?
Hi,
Hi, there are two different views where you can display list of products:
a) category view
b) items view
Items view is used for filtering, etc. and category view only displays items from specific category, e.g. only products from Category A. In items view you can see all products from all categories but you can apply limit here - e.g. limit per category.
So just imagine the following way of user on your site:
User goes from categories view to category view (where only items from category A are listed) but then he/she click on filter and all filtered items are displayed not dependent on category. But you can transfer the category to filter outcomes too. When you force the category then category filter will be applied:
1) Not forcing a category:
- you click to filter all products which price is from 0 - 300 (all products with price 0 - 300 will be listed in items view)
2) Forcing a category: you are located in Category A and you click to filter all products which price is from 0 - 300 (all products with price 0 - 300 which belong to Category A will be listed in items view)
So if user is located in some view where the category is known (category or item) then such info about this category can be transfered to filter or search outcomes in items view.
