Joomla 4.X version of Phoca Gallery Slideshow Plugin?

Hi,
when will Phoca Gallery Slideshow Plugin get the long-waited Joomla 4.X update?
Currently, it's the one and only extension blocking our production upgrade.
OK, the Phoca Gallery Button Plugin and the Phoca Gallery Finder Plugin are also still waiting for an update but I would go without them for the time being.
Kind regards,
Klaus

Hi, generally, the problem with slideshows is, they are mostly not responsive or have problems when displayed on responsive websites. The update of plugin did not get high priority, because mostly such type of slideshow was abandoned and standard plugin with e.g. popup slideshow is used.
You can see it e.g. on this demo:
This is Phoca Gallery plugin for Joomla 4 and when you click on the image, Photoswipe popup is displayes where users can run the slideshow:

So if there is a demand to display slideshow directly in articles then completely new slideshow Javascript library needs to be found, because the old one does not meet criteria for modern website.

Hi Jan,
thank you for this information. And of course, thank you for your efforts.
So this sounds like updating right away to me instead of waiting for it. Yes, we often use slideshows embedded in articles. We found out that users find it more attractive than having a text link to the Phoca Gallery category only.

Hi, yes, but maybe it is better to put images directly into the article. The updating of slideshow plugin is of course written in feature request, but it will be not so easy, because some responsive alternative needs to be found. Mostly the slideshows worked with fixed width, which is now a problem in responsive websites
